Frequently asked questions
1. Why does it take up to 6 weeks to receive a bowl? The time it takes to physically make a bowl is around one hour, but it then requires at least one week to dry the bowl out, 24 hrs to bisque fire and 24 hrs to glaze fire. Although this only adds up to around 10 days, I only make the bowls on a part-time basis (currently 1-2 days a week) and can only physically fit about 15 orders into one week. Therefore a waiting list is usually in operation - this is the reason for the delay. If you need an order very urgently, do contact me as at quiet times I may be able to push you up the list.
2. Are the bowls dishwasher safe? Unless your bowl has Swarovski crystals or gold lustre, it is dishwasher safe. Bella's bowl has been through the dishwasher on numerous occasions over the last 18 months and is still in very good condition.
3. My bowl has arrived damaged - what should I do? Contact Chow Bella as soon as possible stating the problem. If a bowl has been damaged in transit, I will remake it free of charge but will need a decent photograph showing the bowl still with its wrapping so that I can claim compensation from Royal Mail.
4. Do you ship the bowls outside the UK? Yes - prices for this vary but as a rough guide, for a spaniel bowl shipping would be as follows:
- UK = £3.00
- Europe = £6.00
- USA/Australia = £11.00
All prices for postage outside the UK are using Airmail services.
